Visitors enjoy wildlife viewing, walking trails, the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve, beaches, fish markets, fresh fish for sale off boats and a community park w/BBQ pits. There are flower & fresh fruit stands, a bed & breakfast inn, KOA RV park, unique shops, and post office all within walking distance of the Harbor.

Moss Landing is an often-overlooked destination that lies almost exactly halfway between Monterey and Santa Cruz, and while it does not have the amenities of some of the nearby towns, it offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and whale watching. There is also a large slough, called Elkhorn Slough, to the north of Moss Landing.

We enjoy the Moss Landing Harbor area. Its very pretty. Its also a great place to get a tour to see whales and sharks. Its also a good place to see the fishing boats and see if they have any fish or crabs for sale.
