A legal battle has erupted following the tragic sinking of the superyacht Bayesian last month. Court papers filed in Sicily reveal that the Italian boatbuilder behind Mike Lynch's vessel is seeking damages of up to £186million from the crew and the tech tycoon's widow.

Italian authorities have confirmed increased security around the wreck of the luxury yacht Bayesian, which sank in August, claiming seven lives, including that of British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch.

Two watertight safes onboard the yacht may have super-encrypted hard drives that contain classified information like passcodes, sources told CNN.
