McDonald's said it will revise a program that awards scholarships to Latino and Hispanic students to eliminate any eligibility criteria based on applicants' race or ethnicity, to settle a lawsuit by a group opposed to affirmative action.

To settle a conservative group’s discrimination lawsuit, McDonald’s said it will no longer require Hispanic heritage for students who apply to its decades-old Hispanic college scholarship program.

McDonald's has been making the headlines time and again. Between new releases and collaborations, the global food chain has also been in the middle of controversies.
