He's back like he never left! Newly-acquired Rangers forward JT Miller has scored in his first game of his second tenure with the team.

Vancouver has gone from a first-place team last season to out of the playoffs in current Western Conference seeding.

Star center J.T. Miller is on his way back to the New York Rangers as the Vancouver Canucks are shipping the center for Filip Chytil, Vincent Mancini and a protected first-round draft pick per NHL insider Frank Seravalli.

Miller heads back to New York, where he spent the first six seasons of his career, in exchange for Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini and a 2025 top-13 protected first-round pick. Vancouver prospects Erik Brannstrom and Jackson Dorrington also went to the Rangers in the deal. Vancouver’s return was reported by the New York Post.

Per Elliotte Friedman of Sportner, JT Miller has been traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the New York Rangers. Alongside Miller, Erik Brannstrom and Jackson Dorrington are being traded to the Rangers.

You can’t make any real judgment on anything after just two games, but the early impressions of J.T. Miller’s impact on the Rangers since the team acquired him from Vancouver late Friday have been decidedly positive.
