Florida falls in Football Power Index ranking after Texas loss
Florida football found itself overmatched this weekend in Austin, where the Texas Longhorns handily defeated the Gators during Week 11, 49-17, in the first meeting between the two schools on the collegiate gridiron since 1940.
Depth issues persist and what else Florida football learned from loss at No. 5 Texas
UF lost the turnover margin 3-1 against the Longhorns and failed to record an interception for the first time since Sept. 21 at Mississippi State. A big reason was that UF's pass rush failed to consistently pressure Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, as UF finished with just one sack and one quarterback hurry.
It was lost college football weekend in Florida
It was a lost college football weekend in Florida. The state’s FBS and FCS teams went 0-9.
With Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman and Stetson, the Sunshine State’s record on Saturday fell to 0-8 — the worst one-day showing in state history by FBS and FCS teams. Florida A&M lost to Prairie View 31-12, Bethune-Cookman fell 25-23 to Southern in five overtimes and previously winless Marist beat Stetson 40-31.

Florida's FBS and FCS teams went 0-9 over the weekend
Miami, Florida, Florida State, UCF, South Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman and Stetson all lost.
