Ethen Frank added his second NHL goal as Washington won consecutive games for the first time since before the Christmas break.

WASHINGTON — Logan Thompson stopped all 19 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season, and the Washington Capitals beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Logan Thompson made 18 saves for the Washington Capitals in a 3-0 win against the visiting Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night. It was his first shutout with the Capitals and the fifth of his five-year NHL career.
