LONDON (AP) — Britain's police watchdog said it is assessing complaints from two women over how the Metropolitan Police handled sex crime allegations they made against the late Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed.

The police watchdog is reviewing the Metropolitan Police’s handling of abuse allegations against Mohamed Fayed.The former Harrods owner has been accused of sexual assault by more than 20 women since his death last year at the age of 94.

The police watchdog will review how Metropolitan Police officers handled allegations of sexual misconduct against former Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) will review two cases the Met Police investigated in 2008 and 2013 after the force referred itself.
