Dallas Cowboys legend Jason Witten was asked about the team's head coaching vacancy during a fan event as his name circulates as a candidate for the job.

A new NFL head coaching job opened up this week, and thus, another opportunity presented itself to Robert Saleh.

Jason Witten played 16 seasons for the Dallas Cowboys from 2003 to 2019. He currently leads the Cowboys in career receptions and receiving yards and has also started the most consecutive games at 229. He then retired and served as the head coach for Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas.

As always, the Cowboys have decided to do this differently from everyone else. Like usual, things aren't going well.

Brian Schottenheimer, the Dallas Cowboys' offensive coordinator, has over two decades of NFL coaching experience and a strong football pedigree as the son of legendary coach Marty Schottenheimer. He began his NFL coaching career in 1997 and has since held roles with teams like the Chargers, Jets, and Seahawks.

Moore, undrafted out of Boise State, played for the Cowboys from 2015 to 2017 before transitioning into the team's quarterbacks coach in 2018. He was then given the OC responsibilities from 2019 to 2022 and was a holdover from Jason Garrett's staff to McCarthy's.
