The victim, the driver of a white sedan, was taken by Birmingham Fire and Rescue to UAB Hospital. A motive has not been determined and no arrests have been made. In a separate incident, police say a 14-year-old boy was injured in a self-inflicted shooting that happened at 4:38 p.m. in the 4300 block of Jackson Street.

Phoenix police said the shooting happened at an airport restaurant located outside the security checkpoints in Terminal 4 of Sky Harbor Airport. A woman and two adult males were shot, leaving the female with critical injuries.
