Chytil was one of six Rangers to score as the Blueshirts went on a goal run after Philadelphia scored first early in the first period and blew out the Flyers, 6-1, to extend their point streak to 10 games (7-0-3). They pulled within a point of the last wild-card spot.

Owen Tippett scored the opening goal of the game for the Flyers. With the loss, the Orange and Black’s three-game winning streak also comes to an end.

Fox is riding a three-game, multi-point streak (one goal, five assists), and he sits sixth in scoring from the blue line with 40 points, including 37 assists, in 48 games this season. Fox has been a big part of the Rangers recent resurgence -- they've now picked up at least a point in 10 games.

Braden Schneider, Adam Edstrom, Filip Chytil, Adam Fox and Reilly Smith also scored for the Rangers, who are 8-1-3 since Jan. 2. New York won only three times in December.

The last time the Rangers played the Flyers, their season was starting to fall apart. Now things couldn’t be going better for the Blueshirts.
