Over 300 flights were delayed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday due to low visibility conditions. The flight delay comes even as the national capital is shrouded under thick layer of fog since past week.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted cold conditions at isolated places and mainly clear skies in the city. The Met Office also said smog or moderate fog at most places with dense fog at isolated places likely in the morning,

The country's largest airline IndiGo had temporarily put arrivals and departures on hold at the airport early in the morning.

As per information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, over 400 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport.

According to FlightRadar24, Delhi Airport reported an average delay of 19 minutes for arriving flights and 45 minutes for departures as of 9 am.

Low visibility on Tuesday delayed over 300 flights at Delhi's IGI Airport. No flights were diverted. Flights to Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Patna were also affected. Visibility improved by 5:20 PM. The minimum temperature rose to 10.
