Dale Earnhardt Jr. is disappointed and confused over NASCAR's recent Bristol race that saw fans angry over the lack of excitement.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and many NASCAR fans had circled Friday since it was announced that the Xfinity Series Bristol night event would be Junior's lone NASCAR race in 2024. The 49-year-old had a solid run, finishing seventh, but that result doesn't come close to telling the entire story of the Hall of Famer's night.

“I’m not planning on racing next year,” Earnhardt said of the Xfinity Series. “I’ll be foolish to say I’m never going to run again because I don’t know well enough to stay away from it, and I’ll probably miss it next year and be absolutely willing to sign up for anything that might be beneficial to JR Motorsports.”
