UnitedHealthcare has named a new CEO, after the December shooting death of former CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.

UnitedHealth Group has tapped Tim Noel to be CEO of UnitedHealthcare, the company announced Thursday. The appointment of a new leader for the insurance subsidiary comes seven weeks after the fatal shooting of Brian Thompson ahead of a company event in New York last month. Thompson had been UnitedHealthcare CEO since 2021.
