Millions of people across Southern California faced frightening new wildfire warnings Tuesday and tens of thousands saw their power shut off as strong winds blew across the parched landscape around Los Angeles where two massive blazes have been burning for a week.

Southern California will again face extreme fire weather conditions starting Tuesday morning. A fourth 'particularly dangerous situation' warning is possible.

Although the cause of each blaze has yet to be determined, they all burned in or near foothill communities amid gusty winds and dry air and vegetation.

Altadena residents said in separate lawsuits that the utility’s electrical equipment had sparked the fire, which grew to consume 14,000 acres.

The lawsuits say Edison infrastructure in the area was still energized at the time of the fire. Last Wednesday, Southern California Edison said its distribution lines immediately
