Sakamoto Days officially overtakes Baki Hanma, Dandadan, and Dragon Ball Daima to be Netflix's top anime, showing just how big the new series is.

When Netflix announced that it would be housing the story of Taro Sakamoto, anime fans knew that the streaming service was continuing to be serious about its place in the anime streaming wars. Sakamoto Days has long been one of the biggest Shonen Jump manga that fans were hoping to see on the small screen and numbers don’t lie.

Sakamoto Days, based on the manga of the same name by Yuto Suzuki, is the streamer's latest original anime series. The first episode premiered on January 11, with new episodes releasing weekly at 9 a.

Though Yuto Suzuki’s manga Sakamoto Days hasn’t been publishing for all that long, an animated adaptation of the series is already making its way to Netflix in just a few days.

Sakamoto Days episode 3 is released on January 25 at 6:00 AM Pacific/9:00 AM Eastern on Netflix. That's 2:00 PM GMT in the UK. Those watching on Netflix in Japan are currently a week ahead, with the fourth episode launching this Saturday.
