Sakamoto Days officially overtakes Baki Hanma, Dandadan, and Dragon Ball Daima to be Netflix's top anime, showing just how big the new series is.

When Netflix announced that it would be housing the story of Taro Sakamoto, anime fans knew that the streaming service was continuing to be serious about its place in the anime streaming wars. Sakamoto Days has long been one of the biggest Shonen Jump manga that fans were hoping to see on the small screen and numbers don’t lie.

In the end, while both the anime and manga of Sakamoto Days have been great so far, the manga is a bit better than the anime. However, for those who don’t enjoy reading manga, anime is an amazing alternative so far that captures the story well. Plus, when it works out its animation issues, the Sakamoto Days anime may be even better than the manga.

Sakamoto Days episode 3 is released on January 25 at 6:00 AM Pacific/9:00 AM Eastern on Netflix. That's 2:00 PM GMT in the UK. Those watching on Netflix in Japan are currently a week ahead, with the fourth episode launching this Saturday.

Netflix has shared the Sakamoto Days final trailer for the upcoming action comedy based on writer and illustrator Yuto Suzuki’s hit manga series of the same name. It will be available for streaming starting on Saturday 11.
