OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Ethics Community has opened two investigations into State Superintendent Ryan Walters. In the first complaint, the commission is looking for documents related to campaign expenditures for Walters' 2022 race where he was elected to his current office.

The Oklahoma Ethics Commission released information Thursday and Friday about its normally confidential investigations.

According to a subpoena obtained by News 4, the Ethics Commission authorized a formal investigation in October 2024 based upon "reasonable cause to believe that one or more" ethics rules "had been violated.
