Fort Worth police have charged two with capital murder after a Thanksgiving night shootout left two men dead and a third critically injured.

Two suspects in a fatal Thanksgiving night shooting were part of a group who planned to rob the victim at gunpoint, Fort Worth police said. Paige Wheaton, 20, and Tai Sanders, 17, have been charged with capital murder. They are accused of killing J Tavian Lee Howard.

Multiple suspects are at large in Fort Worth after robbing a smoke shop early Christmas morning, police said. Around 5 a.m. Wednesday, a car rammed into the front of Modern Smoke on South Hulen Street,

Roderick Dennis is charged with five counts of robbery. Investigators say Dennis robbed five corner stores in Fort Worth in less than two months. Dennis' arrest comes days after a Fox 4 story showed surveillance footage of one of the robberies.

Police in Houston said several kids trying to rob a man were subsequently shot, with one now in critical condition.
