A three-alarm fire at Owl Metals in Dundalk caused a building collapse, one evacuation, and a local safety alert.

Baltimore County firefighters on Sunday continued work at the scene of a three-alarm fire that began Saturday night at a Dundalk recycling plant, officials reported.

BALTIMORE COUNTY — Fire crews are on the scene of a fire in Dundalk. A recycling plant in the 1900 block of Rettman Lane is currently in flames. A third alarm has been requested. There's no word on injuries or cause of the fire.

Owl Metals Recycling Plant on Rettman Lane from the exterior only as there was a partial building collapse. Residents living in the area of the fire were told to shelter in place. Officials confirmed that an older man was taken to a hospital for precautionary measures. Baltimore City firefighters and fire boats are supporting county firefighters.
