Jason Buechel will expand his role to oversee Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores business, including Amazon Go convenience stores and Amazon Fresh physical and online stores, while also continuing to serve as Whole Foods Market CEO.

Amazon has tapped Whole Foods CEO Jason Buechel to oversee its sprawling grocery business, the company announced Monday.

Amazon.com Inc.’s Whole Foods Market chief has been tapped to run the retail giant’s entire grocery business. Jason Buechel will become the vice president of worldwide grocery stores, Amazon retail chief Doug Herrington said in a note to employees,

Amazon has chosen Darlington as the first location in the UK to see parcels delivered by drones. It says it will now start the planning process for initial flights from its fulfilment centre on the outskirts of the town. The online giant had previously promised it would start a drone delivery service by the end of 2024.
