A 3D-printed hotel project, said to be a world-first, is taking shape in Marfa, a city in Texas, US. This project is the result of an expansion of El Cosmico, an existing hotel and campground, which will now extend over a 60-acre plot.

It is the world’s first 3D-printed hotel, says El Cosmico owner Liz Lambert and the partners behind the project—Austin, Texas-based 3D-printing company ICON, and architects Bjarke Ingels Group. Lambert said the technology allows for unprecedented creativity.
